Antpool’s Mining Pool supported the Taproot update on the bitcoin network.

Most of the major Bitcoin mining pools supported the Taproot upgrade. One of them was Antpool at Bitmain, said Alejandro De La Torre, Vice President of Poolin.

According to CoinDesk, Antpool will announce its decision publicly in the near future. To date, support for the update has been announced by the Mining Pools, which account for 54% of the current network hashreit.

Alejandro De La Torre said that he was „delirious with happiness“ because of the positive reaction of most pools. However, Binance Pool has not yet announced its support for Taproot.

In mid-October, Taproot was included in the source Bitcoin Bank code of Bitcoin Core along with Tapscript technology and Schnorr’s signatures.

The update will be one of the most important in the history of the first crypt currency. In addition to increasing scalability and privacy, it focuses on improving network functionality and coin interchangeability.

Recall that on 17 November Poolin launched a discussion platform for mining pools in order to develop a common approach to activating Taproot.
